Sleepover
A Sleepover can be a great way to bring out the child in you and your guests. Just the mere idea of it makes you laugh and be silly. It can also be a romantic or formal event.
Invitations
- This is a time to invite your closest friends or couples, so fancy invitations are not necessary.
- A simple, store bought invitation is fine for this event. Just add glitter.
Attire
- Guest may wear pajamas and nightgowns or change into them when they arrive.
Decorations
- Balloons and streamers add fun to any event!
Activities
- Play cards and board games.
- Have a game of Hide and Seek.
- Play "Telephone". Write a detailed story on colored index cards. Have the guests divide up in teams of four, five or six.
- They will have to deliver the message to a person on their team who is in a different room in the house, in order. Draw and number a map to show the order.
- Have them decide who the starting person is, and who is going to be in what room.
- Hand out one message to each team. They must the "tag" the person in the room, tell the message to that team member, then that team member runs off to "tag and tell" the next member until the last person has been told the story.
- Have two people as judges, and the last person to get the story on each team must tell the story to the judge. The team with the story closest to the original (details and all), wins a prize.
- Play music and dance.
Food
- Finger foods:
- Chicken strips, chips and dip, fruit salad, etc.
- Or grill hot dogs, hamburgers and chicken.
- Or spaghetti, garlic bread and Caesar salad.
Party Tip: GiftsCetera.com is a great location to purchase prizes for the party.
