Military Party
This theme is great for little boys! And if you have a family member who is active or inactive in a branch, ask them to attend in full uniform as your son's "show and tell".
Invitations
- Make color copies of a camouflage print, or military emblem, and print information on the back, send in envelopes the color of the chosen branch, or Army green.
Attire
- Ask guests to dress in camouflage print or military costumes.
Decorations
- Centerpiece, glue military statues to foam blocks in. These small plastic men are available at any party goods store. Also purchase an assortment of small plastic planes, tanks, etc, and glue.
- Make goodie bags with G.I. Joes, and other small action/military figurines, bubble tape gum, and bright, transparent water guns.
Activities
- Host a water fight. Put up barriers, the kids can hide behind, and if your yard will permit it, dig trenches.
- Dart game. Traditional or Carnival Type. Carnival type is with balloons. Attach balloons (with tacks) on a wood board and hang or stand. Throw darts at balloons.
- Host a word scramble using the military theme.
Food
- Purchase trays with multiple sections (cafeteria style) and serve foods that are easy to dish and serve.
- Macaroni and cheese, potato salad, baked chicken and Jell-O, are great food for this.
Party Tip: Keep in mind the particular branch you have chosen and choose decorations from that branch or in its colors.
