Bridal Shower
A Bridal Shower is a party given for the bride-to-be by her girlfriends and/or female family members, to celebrate her upcoming nuptials. It is sometimes referred to as her "last day as a free woman".
Invitations
- Print invitations on a picture of the couple, or make an invitation buy cutting out pictures of famous couples, add a picture of the bride and groom to be, and cut it into a heart shape.
- If you are feeling creative, make invitations out of decorative paper, and cut into the shape of a gown or bra, then write or print information on it.
- For those who are not as creative, what ever you decide to print the invitations on, or if you purchase them, remember, a little glitter or confetti, goes a long way.
Decorations
- For a bridal shower, one of the easiest themes to use is a lingerie theme.
- Keep your decorations simple, using steamers and metallic colored balloons.
- Make an entry way. A nice balloon or flower arch will be great!
Activities
- Video tape words of wisdom, congrats, etc. from the guests.
- Play a question and answer game of who knows the bride-to-be the best. The guest(s) with most, correct answers wins a prize (see below for prizes).
- Have the guests divide into teams of at least three, and have three guests (that do not want to play) or other hostesses be judges. Give each team three to four rolls of toilet paper.
- Allow the teams three to five minutes to "dress" a member of the team in a wedding dress. All teams can go at the same time in one room, or as a single group in separate rooms. Judge the dresses on creativity, neatness, and ability to stay together after a walk down the catwalk. The winning members all receive a prize (see below for prizes).
- Videotape the whole process!
