Barbie Party
Every little girl loves Barbie and what a great way to celebrate her birthday, but with her favorite doll and friends!
Invitations
- Purchase paper dolls, print information on the back of the outfits, place in envelope with confetti, and send.
- Download a picture of Barbie off the internet. Color copy the picture, and send in envelope with confetti.
- For those who are not creative, you can always buy Barbie invitations. Embellish with ribbon, glitter, etc.
Decorations
- Use child's favorite color, or use Barbie pink.
- Purchase Barbie decorations, balloons and confetti in the chosen color.
- Centerpiece: Fragrant flowers with Barbie sitting in the middle of the bouquet. Cover round (preferred) or rectangular tables with two cloths, one lying diagonally across the other, to see the two colors.
Activities
- Have all attendees bring a Barbie.
- Play dress up. Your centerpiece could also be a homemade chest filled with paper dolls and clothes, to serve a dual function.
- Set up a "Barbie Land". Make sure to make backgrounds. This can be done with large poster, or cardboard, and paint or markers. Be creative, even if you are not, at least make a sky or horizon.
- Hire a "real-life" Barbie to come and entertain.
Food
- Keep it simple. Tea-cakes and turkey, ham, and chicken sandwiches. Provide ranch dressing, assorted cream cheese spreads, such as garlic-herb and cranberry.
- Make a sherbet, and clear soda punch.
- Purchase a Barbie cake, or have your daughter's picture screen printed on a cake.
Party Tip: Make grab bags with Barbie outfits, and sheer or pretend cosmetics.
