70's Party
A great way to relive your youth or reminisce over the "good old days" is to have a decade party. The 70's era was all about platform shoes, afros and wigs and disco.
Invitations
- Make invitations on anything that reminds you of the era.
- Draw a platform shoe, or an afro, a flip, or any other wig, etc.
- Add texture by adding glitter, strands of hair, etc.
Attire
- Bell-bottom pants, fringed suede or crocheted vest, platform shoes, apple hats, headbands and afros.
Decorations
- Tack records on the wall.
- Hang 8-tracks.
- Must have a disco ball.
- Hang metallic streamers.
- Hire a disc jockey.
Activities
- The party/dance is the entertainment.
- Play a "Remember When" game, like; "Name That Song/Person/Date".
Food
- Finger foods are best.
- Chicken strips, taquitos, tacos or cheese, meat, fruit, and vegetable platters.
- Juice, bottled soda, and alcohol (optional).
Party Tip: As an added activity, host a costume contest for best dressed guest.
